From Where Fireworks First Originated?

Fireworks originated in China during the Sung dynasty, from 960-1279, where the chef found that a mixture of sulphur, saltpetre and charcoal is highly flammable. During the Fourth of July holiday, most families will go to the large community of fireworks which are performed by professionals who take a lot of precautions to ensure safety.

A growing number of families will have their own yard to celebrate with fireworks which they purchased from the store. Unfortunately, many of them don’t take measures to make the security like professionals. Young children are particularly vulnerable because they are attracted to the bright colors of fireworks, but do not understand the danger.

According to estimates of the US Commission on the safety of consumer goods is that in 2004 about 9,500 people were treated in hospital emergency departments for firework injuries. More than half of them were burned and most actively involved hands, eyes and head. About half of the victims were under the age of 15 years.
